 Location

| Carlingford is a medieval village, boasting fine dining, craic in the pubs, shopping, hiking, boating, and a variety of outdoor adventure pursuits. From the south:
1. Head North on the N1 out of Dublin towards Belfast.
2. Go past Dublin airport.
3. Go through the town of Drogheda and head north, still on the N1. 8km North of Drogheda, this becomes a motorway which will take you to Dundalk.
4. Take the Dundalk turning to the right, where you will see a huge Xerox factory (on the right). At the traffic lights, Carlingford is signposted straight ahead, take this route, it is also still the main road to Belfast.
5. Within 5 minutes you will see a BIG roundabout.
6. Take the right turn (3rd) exit towards Carlingford. You are now 15 minutes away.
7. Follow the signs for Carlingford - there is just one left turn to do just 2 miles before you get to Carlingford, but it is well signposted.
From the north:
1. Head south out of Belfast on the M1 motorway towards Dublin. Once on the motorway you are one hour away.
2. After about 10 miles, take the junction 7 , left signposted to Newry on the A1.
3. Head towards Newry, follow signs for The Quays - a shopping centre with a multiplex cinema, and Sainsbury's .
4. Turn left at the traffic lights taking you along the left side of the canal, shopping centre is on your right and the mountain straight ahead (where Carlingford is). You are now 12 minutes away.
5. You will know when you enter Carlingford - King John's Castle will be dominating the skyline to your left along with the harbour.
